Artist Cosimo Cavallaro is building a wall between the US and Mexico. It will only be a quarter of a mile long, but it will be notable. Two points, one conclusion: 1.) This. This is why people think that artists are a bunch of out of touch, high-fallutin’, ivory tower type. 2.) “The Wall” was a dumbass idea from the get-go. Only an uneducated rube would be in favor of it. Conclusion: They deserve each other! Let them cancel each other out and hopefully we’ll end up with a more reality-driven world. ---

Unless he encases the cheese in some sort of impenetrable coating, isn’t this just going to attract vermin, cause a noxious odor, harm wildlife who do not know that eating massive amount of cheese is bad for them, and possibly do other harm to the ecosystem that I’m not thinking of? As the cheese rots in the sun, isn’t he essentially creating a garbage dump and a public nuisance? There’s got to be some sort of law against this, no? ---

Eh, still will have less of an ecological impact than Trump’s monument to racism would. It’s basically just a massive example of littering, and of a biodegradable material to boot. Vermin’ll have a field day and then it’ll all be gone. (To bad we can’t do that with something else cheese-colored…) ---

If you read the article I linked to, he’s fully aware that critters will probably start eating it as soon as it’s up. But he’s OK with that. ---
