# Wealth and Income figures

I used to know just where to go to get this kind of info, but I am wondering if it can be found on the Internet. All I find are oddball figures from groups trying to push a point.

What I am wondering. How much total wealth is there in the US? If you divide it all by the number of people living here, how much would each person have?

The same with income. How much total income is there in the US economy this year? How much would that mean for every man woman and child if it were split up equally?

If you have a thread where this was already laid out, that would be nice (I am new here) Or if you can point to a good, objective (I really doubt if there is any group that is not biased on this) Web site that list the info, I will just go there.

I am just curious. You know all the arguments and platitudes around the questions. I am just wondering about the basic facts.

[www.census.gov](http://www.census.gov) is another good source. For international statistics try [www.worldbank.org](http://www.worldbank.org) most notably their data & statistics page. I don’t know if it’s any good, but it’s a start.
