Where are these rumored lists? I only run into the Forbes 400 lists. I have encountered a number of references to various 1000 wealthiest American lists, but have yet to locate a single one. I was looking for a list in order by wealth of the wealthiest 10,000 Americans. I’m interested in more precise statistics than the quintels found in the census reports. I noticed that the 358 wealthiest people in the world had the same amount of wealth as the bottom 20%. I was curious what that aggragate looked like if the 10,000 wealthiest people were accounted for both in the world and seperately for america. The data I have encountered suggests that the trend is the same in every country, even though some countries are wealthier. The above is a 1995 statistic: 358 : 1,137,057,384 These statistics seem very difficult to find. Can the minds that be shed some light on this for me? ---

Hmmm the elusive 10,000 wealthiest Americans list. Seems to me that list would be very valuable to spammers, direct mail companies, telemarketers, leer jet and yacht salesmen, etc etc etc… I doubt one exists, and if there does, it couldn’t be very accurate. Maybe start dating an employee of the IRS or TRW?
