They went out late Monday night, I didn’t even know they were gone. The story ‘goes’ they went to visit his mother, who lives in a not so nice area in Va. They walked up on some type of criminal activity and he got shot. She drove him to the hospital and of course the police are going to investigate a shooting. She had a warrant out for her arrest for fraud, or passing bad checks or something. He is now in jail because of a parole violation, possession of marijuana. I don’t know if it is the truth, a partial truth, or no truth at all. OAOASO’s middle son got their dog out of doggie jail and brought him home. He’s a nice dog but I couldn’t take him. Sah-dog growls at other dogs now after being attacked by the hounds from hell so often. It’s a growl but you can hear the whine under it, he’s scared of being attacked again. I didn’t even know he was on parole, although I knew he had just gotten out of jail a few months ago. I had no idea she had a warrant out on her, it’s not something you usually ask people when they come to your house. Not a very exciting story - sorry. It’s a shame because I really like OAOASO’s sons. They are all very nice and polite to me, but all three of them are trouble at times. I’m so lucky to have a son who doesn’t cause me trouble. ---

Well, shucks, I expected to hear that she shot him or something equally dramatic. Still, more exciting than my life! 😃 I was starting to make supper till I looked at the clock - it was barely 4:30. The stoopit impending dark throws me off. No, we’re not turning into old people who eat mid-afternoon. 😛 I’ve got a timer set so’s I know when to plug in the George Foreman and start the steamer for the broccoli. \*\*FCD \*\*got a call for a job interview on Monday. He’s not sure if he wants to go back to work or not, yet he sent in the resume yesterday and they called today. So he’ll go talk and see what the deal is. Nothing to lose, yanno? ---

Oh yes, much to lose, **FCM** : he would lose the ability to sleep in in the morning, the ability to decide which days to do what, and the lovely ability to just be retired! How sad would that be? ---

Dindin has been ingested. We eat when we be hongry plus also I prefer to eat before six o’clock cause, well, I don’t know why, I just do and OYKW is pretty much the same way. **sair** definitely more excitatement than goes on around here. Just glad the police didn’t show up at your place what with ‘em havin’ outstandin’ warrants and all. **flytrap** you should get over the fact that I left irk early. 😛 ---

\*\*kayT \*\*- Ah, but he has an ulterior motive/goal if he takes the job. He wants to build up a pile of money so he can start a bike overhaul/painting business. He needs to buy some equipment and he needs reserve funds for parts and such. So he’ll tuck away a chunk of his earnings (assuming he’s hired) till he reaches his goal, then quit… or not… either way. Meanwhile, I keep looking for temp gigs, but I haven’t seen any, alas… 😉 ---

I just got back from dinner with Older Sister and Older Sister’s Friend. We went to a really good tapas place. Older Sister also gave me a Moravian Sugar Cake. 😃 I had a glass of wine :eek: with dinner, so this is my obligatory drunerne post. Gotta go to bed now before I fall over. Yes I am a cheap date. ---

It’s NINETEEN FREEKIN’ DEGREES here!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: I am not amused. Today is supposed to be leaf day, but not unless it warms up some. We shall see how it goes. I went to bed about 8 last night and read a couple of chapters (I’m up to volume S) and at one point, all 3 animals were helping me. Then Higgs decided Ziva should be chased, and it was just me with Taz plastered to my side. The lights were out before 9 - I was pretty tired and even with the noise of the TV in the living room, I was soon zonked. Which is a good thing, because Higgs started fussing just before 5. But I was rested, so there’s that. Looking at the weather forecast, we might do better to wait until tomorrow for the mulch-and-vac-a-thon. But we’ll figure that out when the sun comes up and my sweetie drags his carcass out from under the covers. Meanwhile, caffeination! Happy Saturday! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and, well, already caffienated, so no _YAWN_. 'Tis 48 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of \ 69! \ for the day. Tomorrow is supposed to be rain/tstorms/apocalypse. We shall see. Not much on the agenda today. Ok, I do need to iron a buncha shirts so that will happen to some extent I suppose. OYKW has gone to get us bizkits for brekkie cause he had a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for a bacon/aig/cheese bizkit. Better him goin’ that me. 😃 Ok, that’s all I got. I should purtify myself somewhat. I have accomplish the buyin’ of collard greens for Turkey Day. Go Me! The burly butcher sto’ has ‘em on sale two big bunches for five bucks. That’s a deal. Plus they’re purty greens! Yes, collards are a must for Turkey Day feastin’ at da cave. Also, a twenty pound turkey has migrated from da freezer to da fridge for thawin’. Tell me I don’t know how to live it up! 😃 ---

I’m up, caffeinated, and have a cat on my lap. Working late shift tonight. Bella is starting to explore the apartment. She is not to sure about Gordie yet. She and Roomie’s 16 year old cat aren’t exactly getting along, but he sleeps 23 and a half hours a day ,so there won’t be too many problems. **Moooommmm!!!** , ha, ha! it’s up to 23 in Raleigh. ---
