My sister is going on a day trip to Ottawa today. I wanted to go with her, but I have too much stuff to do here at home and I have to try to save money anyway. I have to work on crafts and practice the clarinet, etc. ---

It’s above freezing - a whopping 36°. I emptied yesterday’s dishes from the dishwasher and I’ve got some poke in the slow cooker for pulled poke sammiches for supper. Other chores to do, but gotta pace myself, right? 😃 ---

I forgot to mention last night that one of the tapas dishes we had was something involving brussels sprouts and various other things. Oldest Sister and Friend were raving about it afterwards. I, meanwhile, had come to a realization: \*\*swampy \*\*is right. There is nothing you can do to brussels sprouts that makes them taste good. Up with okra! Down with fartblossoms! ---

OYKW has gone to pick up pizza for N.O.L. after he drops off a turkey and some other stuff we got for a Turkey Day basket over to the church house. Baskets will be assembled and delivered tomorrow by the yoot. I have been ironin’ shirts and have more to iron, but for now it’s break time. I like fart blossoms, but not okra- at least, I’ve never come across a recipe I liked it in. Sadly, my fart blossom plants got trashed by pigeons when they were little this year, so the household natural gas supplies may be limited for the winter. ETA: Oh, and Happy Birthday **Thoughtless**!
