Happy Moonday! It’s cold and rainy outside. Not so cold that I couldn’t stand on the deck in my bare feet when I let the dog out. It was uncomfortable but not painful. I used to watch a dog I called Sybil. His real name was Travis. One day I’d get there and he’d greet me at the door, tail awagging, happy to see me. The next day he’d be snoozing away, open one eye and give a tail thump. The next day he’d charge the door like he was going to rip me to shreds - teasing of course. I never knew what to expect with him, I loved that dog. I got woke up way too early by a beep beep. pause, beep beep, pause. Took me a while to figure out where it was coming from, the land line phone was dying, Then I realized this house has no smoke detectors, one more thing to add to the list. The never ending list. I cross one thing off and three more appear. I don’t know how long my house guests plan to stay. OAOASO said for one night, maybe two. His son asked if he could stay a week. They aren’t much trouble, quiet and take care of themselves, but Sah-son and I want our house back. I told them right up front I’m not cooking or anything, they are on their own for all that stuff. It also doesn’t help that they both smoke and while they are not smoking in the house, when they come in from the cold the smell drifts in with them. ---

Hey, all. Back from Phoenix and my dog is happy that I’m home. I’d say that it caused serious snuggles last night, but it’s also gotten colder, so she may have been after the heat. Forty deg now, up to sixty today. Cloudy this week with occasional rain. I don’t care. All of the concrete and painting for my project has been finished. I say “my project”, I have more than one, but only one was in construction. The grandbaby inducement has been set for the 30th, assuming she doesn’t make an appearance before then. With gestational diabetes, they like to pull them a week early because in some cases the placenta can get inefficient at the end. Welcome, **Distress**. Can I call you **Dis**? ---

Apparently my cat Streak didn’t read the cat manual as his method for being an alarm cat is to put his nose in my ear and purr. The goosebumps that spring up all over my body do a fine job of getting me up and feeding the cats. ---

We’ve got some snow, some rain, and some that can’t quite decide what it wants to be when it grows up. About average for Da Burgh in mid-November and after. Around here you pay attention to Rtes 80 and 70 - the major storm line always falls on one of the two roads. ---

Revise the smoke detectors to smoke/CO detectors–kill 2 birds with one stone. ---

All the weird people in southwest Jawja now have phones and are all callin’ da bear this afternoon. Plus the usual assorted weirdness. This is just a new level of weird. I want to go have beer and steak now. I can’t right now however so instead I shall whine. WHINE! WHINE! WHINE! That felt good! 😃 ---

{{{ **2Gig** }}} I’m glad you are ok. I will **Alien** It’s funny all the things you don’t notice until it comes up. Or maybe it’s only me who doesn’t notice. Like I didn’t notice how narrow the bathtub is until the first time I got in it. I wasn’t here a week though before I found a safety issue that neither the FHA inspector nor the insurance company found. There is no railing on the side of the back porch and it’s about a three foot drop. I’ll get that fixed in the spring. Or maybe as my friend said, just put a big planter there. ---

Maybe I should handle Swampys calls for a while. I get to vent some of my bitchiness and he gets a break. One nice thing about having OAOASOs son here is we have been having some conversations about his father. It’s been a little eye opening for me.
