Sorry, I can’t remember. What is the TV Trope for the degradation of TV Channels as they move away from their original purpose(like SciFi showing Wrestling)? ---

Maybe the never ending rehashing of the Hurricane Katrina story is wearing thin. I wish they would find it in their hearts to show the weather radar once in a while - I KNOW the temperature, I would like to know if a rain or snowstorm is bearing down on my city. Now there’s even less chance. ---

I hadn’t watched the Weather Channel in a while but remembered that they had a “Local on the 8s” report, so I tuned it in, only to find that what used to be a fairly comprehensive report on local weather, including weather radar, had been reduced to nothing but a report of current conditions, a brief forecast for the next day, and a crawl at the bottom of the screen that included the airport status. ---

My point exactly. Just maddening. You’d thing something called The Weather Channel would actually provide information on weather, where one lives… I’m wondering if adding Al Roker in the Morning is sucking up all the WC money, so they’re laying off some of the employees, and with all that time to fill up they are reduced to showing movies. About the weather. ---
