The webcomic fan in me is horrified that nobody has mentioned [Gunnerkrigg Court](http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=1) yet- it’s by far my favorite webcomic. The art is exceptional (if atypical), the story is slow but fascinating, and the characters are written and developed in an exceptionally consistent manner.

Most of these have been mentioned already, but what the hey. The webcomics that I read regularly. These are in order of my bookmarks, which is also in order of about how often they update:
[Questionable Content](http://questionablecontent.net/)- It is story based, but I do highly recommend it. The jokes sometimes seem thrown in after the story, but it’s still highly entertaining.
[Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal](http://www.smbc-comics.com/)- One part XKCD, one part Far Side, one part crack. Don’t forget to hover over the little red dot after every comic for a side-joke.
[Penny Arcade](http://www.penny-arcade.com/)- Mostly gamer jokes, but you could probably still get into it even if you’re not a hardcore gamer.
[Multiplex](http://www.multiplexcomic.com/index.php)- Adventures of some movie theater employees. This one piqued my interest right after I started working in a movie theater. It also has an arcing story, sort of, but it’s usually secondary to the humor. Plus, the artist usually links the related strips in the news section after each comic. (The artist has actually made an appearance here during the discussion of one of the strips… maybe he’ll show up again!)
[Partially Clips](http://partiallyclips.com/)- One part clip art, one part humor. Pretty entertaining.
[Fredo and Pidgin](http://www.pidjin.net/)- the tale of two pigeons bent on Global Domination. Sort of like Pinky & The Brain… except with sexually deviant birds.
Someone mentioned Edible Dirt, which I can recommend. If that suits you, then I will also recommend [FLEM,](http://www.flemcomics.com/) which is by the artist’s nephew. It’s pretty much retired now, and just archived. He does occasional updates when it strikes his fancy. I will warn you, at times it’s pretty graphic and probably inflammatory to some. Slightly less offensive, is [Two Lumps](http://www.twolumps.net/), by the same artist as FLEM, plus his wife as writer. It’s sort of like Pinky & The Brain as well, but with cats… and less world domination.

[UserFriendly](http://userfriendly.org/) has already been mentioned. Relatively short story arcs, but a great IT nerd based comic.
[RealLife](http://www.reallifecomics.com/) is another good one, with nerdy topics.
[Least I Can Do](http://leasticoulddo.com) is a bit off color, and blocked at work for me, but it’s a great read when I’m home.
