[Tao of Geek](http://tog.litazia.com/) just finished its run. 8-Bit Theater ended earlier this year. The primordial [User Friendly](http://www.userfriendly.org/) almost ended a few months ago (it got better).
So tell me about your favorite web comics that either just stopped updating or finished up as planned.

I was going to say Elf Only Inn. I liked it better before it shifted though, mainly because that was the sort of place I hung out in back in Lycos days. I swear they hung out where I did because it was _exactly_ like that most days…

Hellbound (I think that was what it was called) was one of the funniest comics I’ve ever read I really miss it.
Pawn isn’t really gone, but after several years without an update it might as well be.

I miss [A Miracle of Science](http://project-apollo.net/mos/mos000.html). It was finished back in 2007; at least it _was_ finished instead of the creators losing interest or dropping dead.

I used to read a comic called The Thin-H Line that disappeared from the internet. It was a lot of jokes about necrophilia and Luke Skywalker having sex with his sister, but it was pretty funny and far from the filthiest thing out there.

[Courttoons](http://www.courtoons.net/) became sporadic and hasn’t been updated since March. Wah. Recently I found out author David Mills has a [virtually pro bono case before the Supreme Court](http://www.abajournal.com/magazine/article/the_long_shot/)! Yowza! That’s a pretty good excuse to not have time for doodles, especially for a solo practitioner.

I miss _Casey & Andy_, but I am satisified with the way the story ended (if not with the speed at which such ending was posted) and am glad Weir stopped, as he clearly was bored with it.

They’re not really webcomics as such, but the Foglios have been running old comics they’ve done like Buck Godot and What’s New With Phil & Dixie, and both ended this year. Sadness. At least the new Myth Adventures comic has been more than enjoyable.

The creator moved on to [http://sexylosers.com/](http://sexylosers.com/), which had a nice run yet stopped once again.
Personally, I miss Gone with the Blastwave and Truck Bearing Kibble. Which, in itself, was a bit of a replacement for the Perry Bible Fellowship.

I miss the good parts of [Flem](http://www.flemcomics.com/d/20020101.html). It started out as a mildly amusing webcomic that was unexceptional in its fascination with shit that offends people, but after about 50-100 strips it grew a wit and actually started being clever at times.
But mostly it was just guilt-free, albeit decidedly NSFW humor.

I miss [Scandal Sheet!](http://scandalsheet.comicgenesis.com) a LOT. I wish its creator would get off his amply upholstered behind and start drawing it again.

(I really do miss drawing SS!, and one of these days I SWEAR I’m going to at least finish the current storyline.)
I also miss [Spamusement](http://www.spamusement.com). I once toyed with the idea of contacting the creator and asking if I could take it over, but it still has a lively following in its discussion forum who would no doubt object, and besides, see above.

[RPG World](http://www.rpgworldcomic.com/). It went on a little too long and the ending was drawn out to the point of confusing, but some of the jokes were timed just right.
