# Web Hosting Suggestions

Hey all. I’m looking for a shared hosting solution with a few requirements. Right now I have hosting through two different hosts ([dreamhost](http://www.dreamhost.com) and [lunarpages](http://www.lunarpages.com)), but neither of them offer quite what I’m looking for.
Basically, what I need is:
[ul]
[li]MySQL/PHP. And a large amount databases (I know many hosts allow you to have 3 databases, for example. That would be unacceptable).[/li][li]Unlimited domains.[/li][li]Multiple users with shell access.[/li][li]A good account management control pannel.[/li][li]A fair amount of space/bandwidth. While I’m not streaming media or anything at the moment, that may be the case down the road. One gig of space, for example, will be too little.[/li][/ul]
Oh, and of course, I don’t want to spend a million bucks. Right now I pay around $100 a year to each of my web hosts. Dreamhost is great, but I find their control pannel to be flakey and frustrating. It takes me way too many reloads to do most simple tasks. Lunarpages, on the other hand, has a much more quick and reliable interface, but I don’t have shell access, and e-mail/user account management is less than straightforward.

I’m not up to par with your current requirements, but I’ve had good luck with [www.hostica.com](http://www.hostica.com) !

You’d be really really happy with your own virtual server. One where you can manage IIS/Apache, DNS, users and your own MySQL install.
Unfortunately, the only place I am familiar with that I can recommend is [Full Control Network](http://www.fullcontrol.net) which would cost you $948/year at least. I’ve got 4 boxes on ther $299/mo plan and I love them.
Have you thought about getting a static IP from your ISP and running your site from your own box at home? Being your own Web host is so freeing. Building a Linux box is cheap and getting Linux-based Web stuff up and running is pretty much free.

I always pimp Netrillium. I use their 900 megabyte reseller plan, I pay nine bucks a month. I have thirty gigs of monthly bandwidth, unlimited domains, unlimited MySQL databases, cPanel, unlimited e-mails, unlimited FTP accounts, unlimited subdomains, a Web Host Manager (this ONLY comes with reseller plans) and PHPMyAdmin. They have one for $13 a month where you get a gig and a half of server space and 40 gigs of transfer. Netrillium rocks.
