# Webcam on Imac

I have one of the first Imac G5’s and wish to set it up with a webcam. After searching I found the Creative Labs live cam (model VFO415) which claimed to be compatible. This device only comes with a pc driver which of course does not work. I did some searches and downloaded what I was told, but it still will not work. Any advice?

I’ve had luck with this generic Mac webcam driver in the past:

It claims to work for hundreds of models of webcams. Your specific Creative Labs model isn’t listed as being supported, but some close model numbers are there. It’s worth a try.

It’s frustrating because the box the device was in was listed as being Mac comaptible.
