Here’s a phrase I’ve uttered twice, I think, since 1995: “That was a good music video.” I didn’t get most of the references, but I got some. It was funny, it was creative, and it’s guaranteed to be a huge hit on YouTube. The version linked in the OP has more than 2.6 million views and I’m sure there are a bunch of versions floating aroud. ---

There was no excuse for _Make Believe_. One of the worst albums ever made; it doesn’t have a single redeeming song on it. Blue and Pinkerton = Awesome Green = OK Maladroit = Good ---

Fortunately, this video is so good that I’m actually liking Weezer again. 😃 I downloaded _Pork and Beans_ and _The Greatest Man That Ever Lived_, both of which are awesome (especially _The Greatest…_). Could they finally be back with the red album? ---

When I first heard it I didn’t like it, because it didn’t sound authentically Weezer, but after listening to it a few times you can still hear all that self-conscious angst driving the tune, and I like it. I thought _Make Believe_ had a lot of good songs on it. Weezer’s mind-blowingly excellent albums: _Blue Album, Pinkerton, Maladroit_ Weezer’s good albums: _The Green Album, Make Believe_ I haven’t seen any suck come from Weezer. Red Hot Chili Peppers or Aerosmith, well that’s another story… ---

I got hooked on this video, and found out all about this wonderful thing called Weezer. I knew there was a band by that name and they had a dorky Van Halen-copied logo and assumed they were a novelty band… but suddenly I’m completely into their mad brand of power pop. ---
