Weight Watchers and vegetables

Okay, I swear I’ll quit after this one: (:D)

Here is what Weight Watchers themselves have to say about the issue:

Q: I was recently told that a cup of raw carrots has fewer POINTS® values than cooked carrots. Why?

A: It all boils down to volume: One cup of cooked carrots weighs in at 156 grams while the same amount of raw carrots weighs 128 grams (vegetables tend to shrink when they cook so you can fit more of them in the cup). This difference in weight translates into a slight caloric difference — 15 calories more for the cooked carrots, to be exact. That’s just enough extra calories to push the POINTS values “over the edge.”
