Let’s see - she’s stuck, there seems to be no one around, someone finally shows up… … and she gets abusive? Calls you an idiot? A motherfucker? No lady, having your arm stuck in a window is not an emergency, at least it’s not life or death. Having to piss is not an emergency, at least it’s not life or death. I would have said something like “Bitch, STFU and be reasonable and I’ll stay here with you. Keep being an abusive asshole you can stay here alone until the cops show up. Which will be 35-40 minutes. Your choice.” If she calms down I’ll stay. If she keeps being crazy bitch lady I get in my car and drive off. If she was bleeding to death or her arm was cut off that would be one thing, but she’s just being nasty. It’s an over the top reaction and it makes me wonder what other crazy stuff she might start if I hang around. I really don’t need that level of crap in my life. I’d probably drive by about an hour later to make sure the cops did show up, but other than that, I’m gone. ---

But yeah, I tend to remain calm in emergency situations so she probably would have reacted the same way to me. As soon as she’d called me an idiot I would have said “you’re the one with your arm stuck in a fucking window” and left. I still would have called for help, but if she expects me to hold her hand while dealing with her shit she can go fuck herself. ---

The “show me your tits” comment was pretty skeevy, too - really, anything that implies the woman has to trade any form of sexual favor for freedom is out of line, if not criminal. ---

Reading the OP, I’m really surprised by everyone’s reactions. The woman was probably already freaked out and scared by the time the OP even showed up. SHe didn’t ask for the OP to solve her problem or offer suggestions. She asked him to call the cops. Yet the OP persisted in giving her alternative solutions that she did not ask for and did not want. Not surprisingly she got more and more agitated, being helpless to solve her own problem and having someone pointedly not do the thing she was asking for. Most people assume that asking to call the cops means call 911. So when the OP came back and told her he didn’t call 911 but the non-emergency number, for what she obviously thought was an emergency, she got even more upset. Was she gracious, appreciative or even polite? Of course not. However, if I was in that position and all I wanted was someone to call the cops because I was freaked out and scared and someone kept saying “How about this? How about that? How about this idea?” and when they finally conceded to do what I asked they called the non-emergency number I would have lost it too. And then to leave her in a self described rural area… that’s not cool. ---

I can’t fathom how this would be considered a non-emergency.
