I don’t know if this counts: Marezeedotes and dozeedotes and liddelamseetivey, a kidleetiveytu, wouldn’t you? It took me quite a while to learn that they were actual words to that song: Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy, a kid’ll eat ivy too, wouldn’t you? ---

[/QUOTE] There was an old radio show for kids back in the 50’s that had something like that. Froggy the Gremlin was the character. I think Froggy and some other critters were supposed to be either puppets or make-believe things like The Muppets. It hardly mattered since they were voice-only things. (How they appeared in the studio is another matter since there probably was some form of studio audience, most likely kids.) As I recall, and I may be fusing two or more shows, it was something like Smilin’ Ed O’Connell’s something or other, and it was sponsored by Buster Brown shoes for kids. I’m going to try searching for that after I finish working this from memory. My memory of the saying was along the lines of “Plunk your magic finger, Froggy.” But that was based on my hearing only and I wasn’t a big enough fan to have listened a lot and thus know the significance of whatever it was Froggy did. I seem to recall it made something special happen. If I find a reasonable website, I’ll be back. ---
