It is an Australia trait? I remember learning about it in high school? Some Kiwis do it as well? Noticeably, my brother?

It is also a thing in the UK? Maybe not as widespread? If you’ve ever watched The Voice? You’ll notice that Jessie J uses it constantly in her speech?

> Actually that’s exactly what I was referring to. It’s always done in a comedic manner, and is not really intended to emphasize a specific word in a sentence.

The only time I’ve heard that sort of thing (aside from Ms. JW) is with the word “fabulous” and only by gay males, or people imitating/mocking gay males.

Could be a general antipodean vocal trait. I’ve never watched the voice to know If Jessie J does do it but what I have seen of her is intensely annoying so maybe she should be sent to where her voice fits in? and yes that’s real question, or more of a plea really.

Hell no. We finally got rid of Russell Crowe. We’re not taking in Jessie J. 😃
