This reminds me of [Boutros Boutros-Ghali](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boutros_Boutros-Ghali), a name that always made me chuckle.

But he was Egyptian, and apparently it’s common in Arab cultures for someone to have (or at least use) the same first and last name. This was pointed out some years ago, regarding Sirhan Sirhan, after he shot Robert Kennedy.

My mother had a cousin named Lawrence Hokenberry. He married Mary Sue Thornton.

I only met them once, but I remember laughing my 8 year old ass off at Mary and Larry Hockenberry.

Boutros = Peter

Anyway, I guess he was named after his grandfather Boutros Ghali, son of Ghali Nayruz. His father was Yusuf Boutros Ghali.

But we’re talking about a Copt, and I would not automatically assume a Copt has an Arab identity.

Lipshitz is a fairly common name. I knew a kid with that last name when I was a child. He was pretty weird even then, the name couldn’t have been much help later in life.

Your post reminded me of an Oklahoma politician named Larry Derryberry. I have relatives in the Tulsa area and would hear the name while watching the news during visits. This was in the 70s when he was the state Attorney General.

Which one **DrDeth**?

Peter Forskin,
Shitpan, or
Rainbow Fan?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I’m guessing 🌈 Fan. You have always seemed too nice for the other two. Not that I’m impugning foreskins. Some of my favorite people have them or had.
