Although it seems that last week, Shannon said something about Boone hanging out in the woods with Locke for the last 4 days (indicating 4 days since the previous ep), but in last night’s, I recall a comment in a Locke/Boone conversation that they had been out there working on the metal thing for the last 2 days. Not sure which it’s supposed to be. ---

I thought Boone said they’d been staring at it for two days. It’s possible that dug up as much as they could and then tried to open the hatch on the first two days and just stared at it for the next two. ---

Was the pilot actually killed by TCM? I don’t recall hearing typical TCM sounds (ie, that metalic, grating sound) when the pilot was snatched. Did you? It sounded more like a bear, or maybe a giant bear. And remember that the hobbit said the polar bear was like a bady version of what killed the pilot? BTW, I rewatched last night’s episode and single framed through the part where Boone and Shannon first encounter TCM. What you see is two trees being uprooted, as if they were pulled from the top. Not at all like two trees being knocked over. This coincides with how I saw the firstappearance of TCM in front of the group, when everyone was on the beach-- the trees aren’t being knocked over, they’re being pulled up or sucked into the ground. ---

**Monstre** : Absolutely! But TCM has a very distinct, trademark sound-- metalic. I can’t be 100% certain, but I just don’t remember hearing that from whatever it was that snatched the pilot. And again, we have have Rousseau’s claim that 'there’s no such thing as monsters". ---

In one of the earlier eps, I saw a background person shaving. Maybe they’re rationing out the razors and soap and stuff. Would explain why we always see tham half shaven, half clean… ---

I don’t see what’s unreasonable at all about being shaved - I’m guessing half the suitcases or more had razors, and one person can use a razor on an infrequent basis for… well, over a year, probably. Gets a bit rough at the end, but there’s no trouble believing they have enough razors to go around now. ---

Of course Rousseau probably drinks paint thinner straight from the can, so you have to take what she says with a grain, or perhaps a shaker, of salt… 😉 ---

Just about fell off the couch when I heard it. Regarding shaving, Jack has had exactly the same hair length (face and head) for the entire show, even in flashbacks. How he keeps the stubble the same length, I have no idea. That, and the hygiene issue, seem to fall under the magic of television. ---

Rambaldi is a frequent reference in JJ Abram’s / Bad Robot’s other show, Alias. He’s basically a cross between Nostradamus and Leonardo da Vinci. Manya Alias shows center around finding artifacts that Rambaldi made (in the 1500 or 100s). Some of these devices are more advanced than modern gear. There is a picture that looks like Syndey Bristow in R’s journal along with warnings. (will destory the world type stuff). Syndey Bristow ==\> Sydney, Austrialia coincidence?? Brian ---

You know what made me go “Hmmm…”? The pilot also wasn’t eaten. Sure some predators bury stuff or stick in in trees so they can snack later, but first they snack on their prey quite a bit. _Looks at above posts_ Okay, IF there was a pilot, and IF the pilot was killed by the TCM, and IF the TCM actually exists… then it’s killing for the sake of killing. Unusual for most animal species. Or else it’s protecting something.
