Well, for a while we have had 3 dogs. [Here is a group shot from a few years ago.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/lawngroupshot.jpg) Now the German Shepherd is an adult, and sadly the dog on the far right died last year from splenic cancer (although she was in remission for 3 years prior).

We have since fostered a few dogs in our household, including a couple of very cute puppies.

Then we found Loki. Yesterday [she joined the pack.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/LokiEllaKali_zpsb766dbae.jpg) I have to admit to being pretty good at picking winners. Last night we all went for a long walk in the woods. By the time we arrived home again, she was pooped and [fell asleep in my arms on the porch.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/Lokisleepy_zps7207305b.jpg)

So, we are off to a great start. This weekend we’ll see how she does on the pontoon boat. So far it is a big step up from the shelter. [Here she is telling the Shepherd what’s up.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/LokiandKali_zpsec730fca.jpg)😃

OK, this is cute.

When we took Kali on her first long hike, she was exhausted and [my gf carried her the last section of trail.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/hitchiker.jpg)

Last night, [Loki was tired and got the same respite.](http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv174/kayaker01/firemancarry_zps00a1d2f0.jpg)
