Anti-Blair wackos, anti-Conference Board wackos, anti-Caterpillar wackos, Aun wackos, Columbian drug lord wackos, belated “Remember Waco” wackos, stupid kids . . . Regardless. Thankfully, no one was hurt. This time. Welcome to the War, everyone. ---

Lucky they didn’t chuck those things in the subway, they would have really brought the city to a grinding halt. Luckily that block is one of the most heavily surveyed areas, I’m sure they have that moron on tape. ---

Everyone on the news is saying the grenades were very amateurish. Like they just filled up something with black powder, stuck in a fuse and lit it. They went off at 330am, which is pretty much guaranteed not to hurt anybody, even in the city that never sleeps. ---

It’s a sad world when pipe bombs (a staple of most of my friend’s childhood) are called “grenades” and make national headlines. These were glorified firecrackers. Who cares? I love how people think we should be afraid. New York is hands down the safest city I’ve ever lived in, and that applies to posh suburbs and small redneck towns. New York doesn’t resemble Beirut in the slightest. Erek ---

“It is true the British Consulate is in that building, but I don’t think anybody should jump to conclusions…There’s no reason to jump to the conclusion that any one floor of that building was a target at this particular time.” In other news, the British were holding their elections at almost exactly the same time… I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t think that this was a coincidence. ---
