I got nuthin’, except a 2 hour delay for work. I’m getting up and around now, an hour late, and I’m budgeting 90 minutes for my commute.

So we’re starting the week with a communal shower for the Mumpers? I can’t see anything wrong with that especially as I’m trying so hard to be _impure_ for a change. I usually blame such things on my twin, but just for a change I’d like to be the evil twin.
And what’s with the white stuff on the ground? Who ordered that?

\*\*BooFae \*\*- you’ve got the evil white stuff on the ground, too? We’re being threatened with more before the week is out. On the other hand, it’s the reason I’m still at home instead of in the office. Our area got almost a foot, and I think they got around 8" on the base.
I’m normally at my desk about 6:20 or so, although my official start time is 6:30. However, today we don’t open till 9, so I get 2.5 hours free!!! I arrive at 9 and leave at 2:30 - that’s doable! Yay!
Just got a call - my 5-year security reinvestigation interview was supposed to be at 8:15 this morning and I’d completely forgotten about it. The investigator was calling to see if I want to reschedule due to the snow - I’m glad she called and didn’t just show up. So she’s going to call the office in a few hours when I have access to my calendar. I guess I’m really lucky that none of you live near me - I think you’d be career enders for sure if she talked to any of you… 😛 😃
I will leave sooner than a 9AM arrival would require - I want to run by Food Lion. I need a sack of N.O.T. and I’ll just grab something for lunch, too. That way, I don’t have to venture forth to get lunch or go to the store after work. Win-win!
But that means I need to get into the shower pretty soon. And for the record, I use a moisturizing body wash. I don’t know how pure it is, but it makes my skin feel good. I am hurt, tho, that no one has seen fit to continue with the purification theme, and especially with the lack of chocolate for purification. You guys are letting me down!!!
I deserve better! I’m nice, dammit!!!

We had about 2" of it at home but over here at work there’s barely anything on the ground and I am expecting most of it to have melted away by the time I go home. The weather forecast was for cold and wet weather over the next few days so with any luck we won’t have any more. I can’t have it interfering with my social life!

Incidentally, it’s 8°, that’s right \ ***EIGHT DEGREES F** \*here in loverly Helen, MD at the moment. I tore up some stale bread and tossed it out on the front walk for the birds. Poor little birdies…
Poor me when I have to leave for work. Thank goodness for the garage. It’s not great, but it’s above freezing in there, so I know the car will start.
I think part of our purification ritual needs to involve fire. Lots of fire. Beautiful, warming, comforting fire…

Lately we’ve beeng gettin’ overnight and early mornin’ rain. This means I get to drive to work in the dark _and_ the rain. That’s Winter in south Jawja though.
Sigh. ‘Tis February. Towards the end of the month the pine trees start with the pollinatin’ and everything turns yellow. Stoopit pine trees! Stoopit neighbors with pine trees in their yahds! Keep yer dang pine tree pollen in yer own dang yahds, I say!
Ok, off to caffienate some more and forage for brekkie. Tummy demands to be fed.

I LIKE snow and wish we had more of it.
Mama always told me to never communally shower with strangers… I think I’ll stick with Mama’s advice. Anyone considered that Ivory soap is pure as the driven snow?

Yes! I love the snow!!
A storm blowing, a fire inside, warm tea and someone to snuggle. Then later, a walk in fresh powder.
Or, a steady but gentle snowfall, outside at night, looking up as the snow falls on your face and everything is silent.
