I think the guy just likes picking on whoever is currently the president simply because HE’S not the president. ---

Oxycontin does strange things to logic. Obama had a bad morning, the market dropped over 300 early. That was his fault. Then it recovered and wound up 550 up. That was in spite of Obama and his recession. The up was due to Bush or Paulson or somebody. Obama is responsible for downs only. ---

The economy has been spiralling downward for almost two years now. The collapse of the subprime mortgage market starting in early 2007 was the first major downdraft. It is highly likely that the National Bureau of Economic Research (the most respected org when it comes to calling recessioins) will determine that the recession started in winter or spring of this year. In other words, our current problems were baked in the cake. Looking at day-to-day volatility on the Dow is almost beside the point. It has been at best a coincident indicator in this crisis. And things are going to get much worse – sorry folks. And, it goes without saying, Rush is full of shit. ---
