# Well fuck me for asking or I'm still a degenerate!!!!!

First off~
I wasn’t trying to get anyone to DO my homework. I was merily(sp?) asking for some help. I am in a online class and just needed some assistance with some shit I didn’t fucking understand. So don’t go biting my head off for that bullshit. Like none of you have ever asked for help on a math assignment. :mad:
But now that I have failed that assignment and have a final exam that even if I ace I will still fail, I will begin stoning myself with a big fucking rock.
Then only thing positive is after failing that I took a LAW class test and aced it. So I not an idiot…just an art student that sucks at math.
Situation~
I currently have about 70 credits complete have attempted something like 120 and only have a window of 160 to get my bachelors. Doing the math I need 50 credits and only have 40 to attempt. that would mean I pretty much just blew all chances of graduating. Not only have I wasted roughly 50K but I will now have wrecked my moms finances but have disappointed her beyond ever imaginable. I mainly accomplished this by partying too much and sleeping in. And now that I work 50 hours a week it makes it even harder to do school.
Pretty much I should be dragged behind a semi for a good 10 mile stretch, hung by the throat and beaten like a pinata with spiked bats, then forced to watch talk show like Opra and shit till I bleed to death.

Either you wanted “tell me the answer” help or you wanted “show me how to do it” help. It was decidedly unclear in your previous OP.
And to answer your “Pre Calc…why do I have to do math when I am a math student.” by which I am going to make the strenuous leap you meant “am not a math student” … well, they’re called general education requirements.

I admit that i had little time left and was in a hurry and should have stated my situation a little better. I was in hopes that someone would be like
“Ohh I know this shit, what do you not understand”
And I could have asked some questions and it could have gone from there.
I am not attacking the MOD for closing it, I am just pissed off/disappointed with myself hence the self pitting.

I think if you had asked for help with the _concepts_ rather than help with the specific problems, things would have been much smoother for you. As you may have noticed, most of us are sticklers for intellectual honesty here. I’m sure some math-minded Doper (i.e., not me, though I’d be happy to help with any liberal arts crap you might have :)) would have given you a hand if you’d phrased your request differently or asked for less-specific help; the fight against ignorance dictates that we help you learn as much as you can, after all.
Good luck with your classes. I’m sorry this assignment didn’t work out for you.

I’m just guessing here, but doesn’t 3D computer animation require a good grasp of higher math skills (trig, geometry, algabra, pre-calc)?
He said in his original thread that he was pursuing computer 3D animation.

Urm. I sure hope I’m not wasting my time giving you a serious response. It sounds like you wasted _your mother’s_ 50k, which is far worse than wasting your own; particularly since it doesn’t sound like she’s an oil tycoon, and I’m guessing she’s also a single parent. Shame on you – and I wouldn’t suggest you ask her for another dime. In fact, I think she should have pulled the plug some time ago, but no matter.
Get your own fucking loans **and finish school**. Maybe you would have taken things more seriously if you had shared a portion of the costs from the beginning, but it’s time for you to pick them up now. My opinion – but I happen to be right.

You said you just wanted advice on how to do the problems, well bucko, I DID give you advice in that thread, if you notice. Did you even TRY graphing the problems. I looked at the questions you had posted, mentally graphed the problems and had the answers to most of them in the few seconds (I didn’t do all of the problems cause I didn’t want to waste a whole minute).
So it sounds like you wanted answers to your math course. A message board like this is not the place for math help, you NEED a tutor. Obviously you have not grasped the basic vocabulary for the class you are taking, so turn OFF the computer, sit yourself at your study table, and make a list of the vocabulary for the class.

Those questions are geared more towards the math intuitive. If you aren’t math intuitive, no amount of studying is going to help you.
Deb, if DDD were to graph the coords and somehow stumble across examples of those types of graphs in his math book, he might be able to recognize which choice is correct, but he’s got to know what it is he’s looking for. If he doesn’t have that intuition, he’ll be going nowhere no matter how hard he tries.
Computer animation ain’t the field for you if you don’t grok how to graph.

Oh come on. There were a bunch of true/false questions. The tactic to use might even have been to use the index **in the text book**. “Even function” or “Function, Even”. I saw nothing about concepts and a lot about “What’s the answer”.
If the OP is in dire straits I suggest massive amounts of groveling and asking for additional/remedial work from the both the Faculty Dean and the Registrar’s Office.
