Are you? . . . . . If so, my question is why? And what does that mean? I see it in parodies of romantic fiction and stuff like that, and in first-person, supposedly true, erotic tales: “for the first time, I felt like a _real woman_;” "now I _understood_ what it meant to be a woman, " etc. Is this just misogynist porno BS originating from the male power structure? Or is it something you conceivably ever picture yourself thinking? I don’t remember ever hearing, even in parody, a guy portrayed as wishing a woman would come along and make him feel like a real man. Is there some fundamental difference in the genders involved there? Oh, and BTW, Here. Iron this. Please don’t hurt me. ---

I interpret it to mean “I never knew how good sex could be until I found the right man” but it’s so overused by now it just sounds corny. ---

Hey, lady, I got a lot of shirts. Just kidding – I’m married and have a little girl, and plan to impress upon her at every opportunity that girls can do anything boys can and not to take any guff. Which, growing up in a relatively traditional Confucian society, isn’t the cliche it might seem to our Western ears. Still, I was curious about the OP. ---

If I need someone to come along and make me feel like a real woman, does that mean I’m a fake woman now? And what about women without curves? Are they fake women, too? Is it possible for a man to make a fake woman without curves feel like a real woman, or would that be an impossible task? Are there degrees of real, and if so, which is it that makes a woman more real: the man or the curves? ---

Reminds me of my favorite joke when I was a teen. A guy is riding on an elevator, when it stops to let a beautiful woman on. As the elevator starts up again, she eyes him lustfully for a while. Suddenly, she hits the emergency stop, rips off all her clothes, and says “Make me feel like a woman!”. So he rips off all his clothes and says: Pick those up ---

I’ve usually seen it as the culmination of the man-hating broken bird main character being opened up to happiness and fulfillment through the love (penis) of a good man. Or a ridiculous parody of same. I have an aquaintance who regularly delivers backhanded compliments of ‘You look like a woman today!’. Doesn’t every woman secretly want, as paraphrased, a penis spouting sperm, books, horses, a castle, and maybe some nice fountain pens? But sure, when I was a teen I dreamed of a man that would come along and know the magic words/actions to give me orgasms all the time and fulfill all my dreams. Then I grew up, and realized both my orgasms and my dreams are primarily my responsibility. And I do not iron. 🙂 ---

I can’t remember the name of the comedian who had a great bit about what women say they want, versus what they actually want - that they always _say_ they want a guy with a great sense of humor. Being a comedian, he had plenty of experience that it just was not true. What they really wanted was **Antonio Banderas** - _“I will give you an orgasm so intense you will see dead relatives!”_ ---

When I was a teenager I wanted a woman to make me feel like a real man. I recall Pinocchio wanted to be a real boy. There are some people out there who wish their lovers were real people.
