Can one use Rogaine to make one’s hair, thicker? I’m not losing my hair, but I do have absolutely poker straight, baby fine hair-would Rogaine at least give me more of it? ---

I don’t think so, but you would have to talk to a dermatologist (or a family doc at the very least) to find out for sure. I think the idea is that it reawakens sleeping hair folicles - however, if you had a smallish number of folicles in the first place, and they produced fine hair, I don’t think Rogaine would help you. ---

He is naked as a babies ass…I am _so_ jealous because I am very hairy and detest shaving/waxing/nairing. Now if I could just manage to lose every hair from the neck down… He still has his nails, but they are all splitting, peeling, dish shaped and fragile. All things considered, they have made some advances - he has some sort of steroid spray that when he uses it gives him nosehairs…but he has to cycle off and on it, and some sort of drops to put on his nails so they dont get so damaged and fragile, and he was told if he wanted eyebrows, they have some sort of steriod shot that seems to grow hairs at the injection area…but he doens’t want eyebrows _that_ badly=) though he would like eyelashes…right when he started losing his hair they offered him rogaine, and I just told him to shave the rest of his hair off and forget the rogaine. He went from gorilla to chihuahua in about 2 years. He doesnt obsess about it, actually never really did, especially after he found out I dont care how much or how little hair he has. He is more concerned about his thyroid, and keeping his cholesterol down, and avoiding the type 2 diabetes his father has…he was quite the sugar junkie until a few years ago. ---

You could always ask for samples of Rogaine. The derm office I work in has tons of month-size samples of Rogaine (but not Propecia or Minoxidil) and often throw them away because they expire. ---
