I’m so sorry to hear of what you are both going through. I’ve followed your saga with a special interest since I cared for my Mom through ALS/Lou Gherigs’ Disease. Now I find myself in a similar position with my Dad having multiple medical issues and in a similar position as your wife and my heart goes out to you. It is beyond difficult to lose a piece of someone you love every day. I pray for strength and peace for you both. ---

Words fail me. You and your loved ones are in my warmest thoughts during this horribly difficult and painful time. I only have a remote idea of how difficult this is for you, having been part of the decision making process to withhold a feeding tube from my dying mother about a year ago. These tough decisions are rooted in love. Be at peace. ---

From another anonymous person who knows you only through your “online ramblings”, you have my deepest condolences **Lurk**. Having watched my grandmother and a dear friend go through the shutdown process just last year I have an inkling of how this must be affecting you. The wait is the worst part; when it’s over you’ll grieve but also feel some relief as her suffering is over. Stay strong my friend. There’s lots of support out there for you. Plenty right here on this board. ---
