Yesterday, January 24, Patti laid aside her burden and passed on. She passed quietly shortly after noon. She is being cremated, and there will be a memorial service at a later date. I had been working on a memorial post, which will be on-line later today; I wasn’t expecting to need it so soon, and it’s not quite finished. ---

My sincerest condolences. Yours posts concerning this journey have left me in tears. Hopefully you will find peace and strength in the fact she is no longer suffering. I know this probably doesn’t assuage your grief now, but hopefully soon it will. Having had to make a similar decision for a loved one a few years ago, I do have an inkling of what you must be feeling. My heart goes out to you. Please know you are in my thoughts. ---

For once words fail me. Just know that you are in my thoughts **LurkMeister**. I can’t begin to imagine where you are right now. Tears don’t come easy to these eyes, yet I feel the sting.
