Crowe’s lawyer contacted Live with Regis and Kelly this morning to say that there is no settlement - the whole thing was a rumour. ---

I’d just love to see some random bellhop or waiter or clerk have to put up with Crowe’s abuse, only to fight back in self-defense and beat the shit out of the guy. That would be the coolest thing ever, as he would look like the colossal douche he is, and lose all his “bad-boy cred” at the same time. ---

It took years of low-profile and unsuccessful movies (and a divorce from Madonna) before he was embraced by the industry again. By then, he had mellowed, remarried, and gotten older & wiser. But yeah, it certainly did hurt his career–not irreperably, as it happens, but it could have. ---
