DH has finished his last round of chemo. Now we just need to be on Nadir Watch, hoping he doesn’t go neutropenia again. ---

One of the kink groups I’m part of does crafty meet-ups. This time’s was to make duct tape floggers. I drove up an acquaintance who doesn’t have a car and she finished hers. I got bored when I was nearly done so I’ll finish mine later. I also got to tickle a friend of mine there. He’s adorable when he’s being tickled. Dinner’s in the oven. ---

The things you find out on Facebook. I just discovered that the guy I had a crush on in high school is transgender now. I want to send her a standing ovation because I cannot even comprehend the amount of courage it takes to do something like that. And the fact that this doesn’t bother me _at all_? That’s why I live in Hippy Hollow. ---

I’m up way too early thanks to a certain canine who started barking at 5:45. At least I got to sleep in a little longer than on a work day, so there’s that. Stoopit dog. 😛 The HOG social was fun. There were almost 60 of us crammed into a long, narrow room in the restaurant, and a few brave souls even arrived by bike, but most of us drove like normal human beings. When we first got there, we had to go ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way to the far end of the long table, and after that as folks arrived, they started taking the smaller side tables. I was afraid we were going to be stuck by ourselves down there, but the social director (or whatever Ed’s title is) kept making the rounds keeping track of empty seats and he directed several folks down our way, and we ended up with a lively corner. The couple at the very end had just been members one month longer than we were - they were nice. The guy directly across from us was there sans wife - we got to hear the drama about that (involving a grandson) and he was very chatty. Next to him was a couple, the male half of which has won the groups chili cook-off for the last 2 years - he was hilarious! \*\*FCD \*\*was sitting next to the sister of the treasurer, and she regaled him with tales of her impending divorce. :rolleyes: Poor guy. Several folks who remembered us from the Thursday meeting came over to chat and \*\*FCD \*\*is now lined up to tell his chicken story at the next meeting. It involves a ride on I-295 around Jacksonville and a truck full of cages that were full of chickens. I also found out that there are several other spouses who don’t ride but who drive along behind and meet up at whatever restaurant the ride is headed to. Apparently these folks are big on eating, especially ice cream. That’s when I knew I liked them. 😃 Anyway, it was a fun evening, and the food was quite good. I got up with the dog so my poor sweetie could sleep in - he’s had a time of it this week and he can use the rest. He and I are pretty much out of things to do at work - with all this sequester nonsense, lots of contracts that have been awarded haven’t been funded, so even tho in theory we have contracts, we’ve got no money to work on them. He’s going to talk to the boss and he and I may start doing 3 or 4 day weeks right now. We shall see. I intend to do some claying today. I should probably run the vacuum and dust also. I’ll leave the laundry for tomorrow, I think. Or not. I’m just unpredictable like that! 😃 Happy Saturday! ---

Good morning! Work is crazy right now, so I’m having trouble keeping up with the MMP. I’m pretty sure I missed **April’s** birthday. Might have missed others (belated **BooFae** and early **Nut** birthday greetings, also). **rosie’s** sig for any others I’m forgetting. Cool video, **tugig**! Glad the HOG party was fun, **Mommmmm**. I’ve got a bunch of recipes I haven’t posted yet, including a compilation of deviled egg variations. I has a sick. ☹ I’ve been getting weird gut pains for the past few weeks, and a really bad attack woke me up at 4am this morning, which, as I’m a decided night owl, meant I’d only just got to sleep. They’ve gone again for the moment, but I tried to nap for a bit afterwards, then overslept, and I’ve missed the event I was going to today. Bah. It’s still over a week 'til my appointment for a scan to try find out what’s wrong… Really hope I don’t have more nights like that one in the meantime. Oh well, I need to go buy food, so I’d better get dressed sometime.
