It could happen. We just need an intermediary step.

Elon Musk has a trillion dollars.  
Elon Musk pays a normal tax rate like everybody else.  
The government builds a hospital with the money and provides health care as a public service like schools or police departments.

That’s the way it works in most countries.

Yep, on Tuesday night I said “Thank God no more political commercials or texts for at least a year!” and then got my first new request for money.

I’m partly to blame, I had been contributing to James Talarico’s campaign and also another fund. I really felt like that should get me off the hook of watching endless commercials begging for more money, but nope. No good donation goes unpunished.

_Every_ D politician from dog-catcher on up are worthy causes. That doesn’t mean I want to be inundated by further requests for money after I give them some.
