Strange sounding indeed. My first thought was a miscarraige too, but apparently not so. . Doctor is a good call. Keep us informed, I’d like to know what the heck that was. And I’ve never heard of the belly button thing… Sounds like a zit? ---

When my mother was going through menopause she had several disturbing, and rather public, experiences like you describe. (Three or four times, from what I understand. Once it left a puddle of blood at her feet while she was teaching a class.) Apparently the cause of all of this excitement was a polyp on her uterus.
