I got [kissed by a bat once](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=373796). I got the shots, but no tag.

I was bitten by a stray cat, and the doctor considered giving me the preventative shots, but then shrugged and said, “Cats don’t usually carry rabies.” I still have the scars on my wrist, but I guess I don’t have rabies.
