I get that, but there’s still a ton of differences between actual Nazis and the wannabes of today, starting with the level of power and the number of dead people. The alt-right wants you to think exactly as you do, it styles itself to bait others into violence, oppression, hostility, etc. and it’s working for them. ---

I’d like to see armed Muslims protesting Christian (American) oppression and civilian deaths in the Middle East, right out in front of a Southern Baptist church some Sunday morning. I’m sure the response would be measured, with all parties insisting on free speech and second amendment rights for all. ---

Actually, I shouldn’t bother engaging with fanatical weirdoes. **Will** , you may be a decent person in real life, but on this board you’re a fanatical weirdo with fanatical weirdo ideas that, were they instituted, would IMO cause immense suffering for innocent people. We live in such different moral and factual universes that I think there’s very little point in engaging on most topics. ---

This is accurate. I’m on several places and know people on FB who make racist or slanderous jokes, make wild-assed leaps of logic and routinely post alt-right bullshit. When I say something about it, they say it is just a joke, or they backpedal and deny meaning anything to the point where you’d have to believe their original post was some kind of complete non-sequitur. Cowards, the lot of them. ---
