So, we were discussing the anti-Sharia protests, weren’t we? [The “Houston” event](http://www.click2houston.com/news/hundreds-protest-sharia-law-in-houston-nationwide) took place at the San Jacinto Battleground, where Sam Houston defeated Santa Anna. That’s pretty far out of town–in beautiful LaPorte, hard by the scenic Ship Channel. Attendance was not impressive. Counter protesters showed up but nothing dramatic went down. OK, now\* I’m \*going off the subject. There was competition to the protest against a bogus threat–\*another \*protest against a bogus threat. If the two girls hadn’t been Mooslim\* then Christian\*\* wouldn’t have felt compelled to start yelling, there would have been no intervention, and nobody would have gotten slashed. QED. \*Actually, only one was (outwardly) Muslim. Antifa would never dare stick their noses outside the Austin city limits. Them toppling a statue of Sam Houston is about as likely to happen as them marching through the south side of Chicago yelling ‘black lives matter’ and Trying to stop traffic with their bodies. ---

Besides, how do we even know that the whole thing wasn’t a hoax? Was it authenticated by the Antifas Central Committee? Maybe just somebody on the internet jerking some chain? **Dale** , you seem to know more about these people than I do, who is their official spokesperson? If you thought something was a bogus Antifas announcement, how would you check? Or would you bother? ---

And as above ground as i am, if _I_ heard something about an announcement I’d immediately be suspicious. I haven’t looked any deeper than what I see on Youtube clips. I just can’t trust the veracity of any kind of online journalism outside of The Intercept (and if I’m wrong about them well shit). And Antifa are so fringe…as people have said, most don’t even know who they are. I don’t think they’re dangerous particularly, just stupid. If you read the letter…it is LITERALLY terrorism. Now that word (like nazi) has been so watered down that a letter from some idiots can’t possibly be terrorism. But it is. They threaten ominous consequences, if the parade does not exclude a Republican groups attendance. They make demands. They issue threats. They threaten to assault those who do not fit their political ideology. Now was THAT a hoax? Coulda been. Could have been a 12 year old troll I guess, since it looks like no one made the lightest investigation as far as I could tell. I’ve ranted enough about these guys. ---
