So, **Aes** and I were talking about Buffy ( prompted by the couple of threads knocking around CS at the moment ) and somehow that led to the idea of a Willow spinoff series - the only thing we could decide on though was the title - “Willow, Warrior Wicca”. We can’t decide though on who would join her in her mission, though ( or what her mission would be). Anyone like to throw some ideas into the ring as to possible story and companions they’d like to see? I know **Aesiron** has one he’d like to share. ---

Um, well, kinda but not really. In S5 of _AtS_, we’re told that the Watcher’s Council is being reassembled after being destroyed in a previous season of \*Buffy \*and they’re obviously hurting for manpower as evidenced by Andrew being trained as a Watcher. This, combined with the Potential activation at the end of _BtVS_, and the Armageddon at the end of \*AtS \*gave me the idea that the world might now be in the middle of a magical Crusades and that Willow, Warrior Wicca could actually be Willow, Warrior Wicca Watcher leading her own little troupe composed of a Slayer, maybe another witch, and a few other skilled fighters. Kind of a Buffy meets X-Men with Willow playing field leader to a strike team and someone, maybe even Giles himself, being a recurring Professor X/Quentin Travers. This was just off the top of my head, though. ---

You can do **anything** with the concept, as far as I’m concerned, so long as it still features Alyson Hannigan and lots of girl-girl action! 🙂 Oh, and magic. Mustn’t forget the magic. ---

As much as I adore Willow Rosenberg/Alyson Hannigan, I’d much rather see Joss Whedon make the long-rumored “Ripper” TV series, about the continuing adventures of the world’s most badass librarian and ex-Watcher, Rupert Giles (played by Tony Head, accept no substitutes). ---

I’m cool with it, as long as the pilot episode features Kennedy getting disemboweled, beheaded, quartered, burned to ashes and scattered to the Four Winds. Preferably in the teaser. Then Willow can team with Gwen (Electric Girl) and Nina (Werewolf Girl) from _Angel_. Toss Faith and Dawn into the mix (with plenty of oil) and we have a winner! 😃 ---

Well, this isn’t meant to be a serious attempt to actually create a Willow show but just idle discussion about what we could do with the concept. The title alone should give you an idea how serious we meant it… if possible, it’s even kitschier than _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_ and my own suggestion makes it even more ludicrous by making her Willow the Warrior Wicca Watcher. Anyway, I would suggest The Groosalug and maybe a reformed Amy or Nina the werewolf as secondary characters to try to tie both \*AtS \*and \*BtVS \*to WWW and then maybe two more characters (one a Slayer but make her junior to the rest due to lack of experience) specific to the new show. ---

As long as you throw in Andrew Wells as the junior Watcher/comic relief, I’m sure it will be entertaining. Tom Lenk cracked my ass up throughout Buffy’s very mediocre final season. But mmm, Gwen… latex-clad electric-powered cat burglar babe. I miss her too! ---

Toward the end, when she had unlimited powers, I felt Willow’s magic was a weak point of the show. It was cute and useful in small doses, but it got annoying–kinda like her unlimited prowess with computers. She’s a good side-kick, but I’m not sure she’s anything more than that. (Although I fully support Kennedy’s departure from, oh, the Buffyverse as we know it.) I’d jump on board for the Ripper show, or one about Faith, or even one about Nina (or, hell, give me all three at once). ---

_ **Tons of unboxed spoilers for the final seasons of both “Buffy” and “Angel” below!** _ Might as well get the best of both worlds: do a **New Watchers Council** spinoff focusing on Willow and Giles. I’d love to see Tara and Oz again, although sorting out the relationship issues there might be tricky… **Oz** : I should be with Willow! **Tara** : But she’s \*gay! \*I should be with Willow! **Oz** : But you’re _dead!_ **Kennedy** : _I_ should- _gkkkrcrunch_ Hmmm… other characters… I’d definitely enjoy having Andrew back, as I really enjoyed his character arc in Season 7 (one of the only new-ish characters that season that worked), and his cameos on Season 5 of “Angel.” Faith could return, although preferably _not_ as the leader of the new slayers… I don’t think her personality would allow her to stay in a leadership role any more than she already did. Actually, most of the characters I’d want to see back, other than the ones already mentioned, are from “Angel.” I think the “Buffy” characters have largely completed their arcs, but many of the “Angel” characters had plenty of development left in 'em. Illyria, Lorne, even Spike- there is tons of untapped potential within these characters yet. _sigh_ And if only there was a way to bring Wesley back to life. He was my favorite character of all. ---

I wasn’t even annoyed with Wesley’s death, because he had lost Fred – the one thing he still cared about – and it made sense for him to die. I just wish he had had a better death. ---

Actually, they could do a cheat (and ruin the drama and honor of Wes’s demise) by showing that the Wes that died was really a robot. They were all fooled by the cyborg of Wes’s father earlier that season… But that would denigrate the character far more than I am willing to accept. We need to move on to Wicca Oil Wrestling and Teddy Night at the coven. Ripper would be a good limited series. Maybe 8 episodes or so.
