Let me play the devil’s advocate for a little bit, and I realize this might vary region by region, but having dealt with Washington Mutual, Bank of America and Wells Fargo, WF has always prevailed as the one that actually has service. All of them have fees, but I’ve never had a problem Wells Fargo couldn’t solve in a matter of minutes, unlike the other two. Bank of America is the worst at this… Every time I would come in there to do something simple I’d have to allocate half a day to do it. Cash a check from the same branch, sure, wait for two hours while we unjam our stuck signature file drawer so we can check the signature on the check! Doesn’t matter that you’re also a signatory on the account, three forms of ID won’t do, and no, you can’t just take that check back and write yourself one because for some reason we don’t like people writing themselves checks on corporate accounts. :smack: I am not going to even start about Washington Mutual and the fact that they oft forget that their customers are not, in fact, cattle. ---

I’m confused on how you would order money on-line. Where do you physically receive the Canadian money? ---

They were just beginning their growth spurt, and their service was taking a dive. It all came to a head for me when I pulled up to their drive through one day, and literally could not see the teller. Why? Signs. Taped all over the window. “NO PENS” “NO BALANCES” “NO MORE THAN TWO TRANSACTIONS” “NO BICYCLE OR PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC” “HAVE DEPOSIT SLIP FILLED OUT” “PULL AWAY TO COUNT MONEY” “HAVE A NICE DAY” I switched to Walkalloverya and have never looked back. ---

WellsFargo is the bank that holds my car loan. I regularly curse the moment that I said from the car dealer’s office “Let’s go with the WellsFargo loan…that sounds good.” ---

[/QUOTE] I figure they would count their drawer after closing, and if they were out the amount you said, it’d be mailed to you. Pretty much the same as if you counted it right there. I really didn’t mind any of their rules per se, but jesus! Just post a list in the bottom corner of the window or something. Not ten magic marker banners taped everywhere. ---

[/QUOTE] My debit/ATM card has the Plus and Star symbols on the back and I had a dickens of a time last year trying to find an ATM that would take the card. I eventually just charged everything and gave up trying to get cash. (This was in Thunder Bay). ---

Ever since most banks started making a considerable portion of their income from customer fees, the relationship between most banks and their customers has essentially been predatory.
