Those are the words that came out of the SO’s mouth as I put ‘bacon’ on the shopping list. I understand the words individually, but put into that order they make no sense. She may as well have said, ‘May I move my dogface to the banana patch?’ ---

“…too much bacon.” This is a thing? Actually I went maybe 20 years without eating bacon, or meat generally. A few years ago I decided meat was OK, and I still don’t eat much of it but I have discovered bacon. Holy shit, that is good stuff. ---

Totally agree. It’s not possible to eat too much bacon. Perhaps SO meant you aren’t eating enough different types of bacon or bacon dishes. Or maybe you misheard and the statement was “We’re not eating too much bacon”. That is definitely true by definition, and I can understand your confusion as we don’t typically say “We’re not breathing too much air”. ---

I buy the bacon from Cash & Carry. It comes in a six-pound package, sealed into two three-pound sections. Between the two of us, we eat about 10 rashers per week. I don’t know how much that is, but I’m guessing about half a pound. OK, we had bacon yesterday too; so maybe 20 rashers a week, or a pound. Seems like I buy bacon every couple of months. ---

You are definitely not eating too much bacon, because you are not eating enough bacon. You should check with a physician, you may have a deficiency on that light diet. ---

There are a number of hours during the day when you perform various non-eating of bacon activities. Therefore, you are not eating too much bacon. ---

i use a good stiff piece of crispy bacon as my coffee stirrer. keep a jar of bacon bits with me in case i have urge for a chew. ---

If she actually meant what she said, this is grounds for a break-up. I’ve known a few anti-baconers over the years, and have learned that all that’s good and true in the world can be attributed to bacon. You may want to start packing now, just in case. ---

I was raised kosher, and when I was 35 or so my mother discovered I ate bacon. SHe believes that one slice of such in a life time is too much. ---
