They talked about moving him up to the regular nursery this evening, but she (our resident) explained he would be treated the same (being kept just for observation) and might as well keep him where he’ll be easier to monitor. Pictures will be on Flickr tomorrow evening, when I get Mrs. Small’s camera out of our car (I borrowed my father’s Jeep to wander down to work tonight) so it will be at least 2 tomorrow before I get to that. Man, I’m slow at this stuff. When we called to check he was doing the same - good and just waiting to come home. It is a little wierd but that’s ok. We’re doing good so far. Brendon Small ---

She is staying at her parents tonight, as I had to drive to work, but I am picking her up at 9 to go back to the hospital by noon in hopes he can come back tomorrow (well, since it is 4am, today). I called the nurse’s station at 12:45 and asked how he was doing. They said he was doing good, and his circumcision was not bothering him, he was eating nicely, and would be checked on again very soon. It was a relief to hear, not because there was a big chance of something being wrong, but because I like to know what’s going on. Apparently, most people who stay at a hotel don’t expect the guy working here to be wearing a hospital ID (I lost my wallet in my home and the one ID they gave me when we were brought in is my best shot at going in without the wallet) Brendon Small ---

I’m sad to inform the dope that Dylan did not get to come home today, mostly because of one second of lower stats from him last night. The nurse explained to my wife this morning that he would be staying 5 more days at a minimum, and I thought that sounded like a big jump for something somewhat small happening, so I asked the doctor. She had meant maximum (or at least, if nothing else happens) it would be 5 days, so we’re commuting back and forth between Columbus, Athens, and Portsmouth for a few days (I got in 300 miles in two days! Woo Hoo!) so I can be there for baby, be there for work, and school. It kind of sucks, but pictures will be on soon - Flickr is very slow today. Brendon Small ---
