It’s stressful to have writers block, even more so if you feel the pressure to produce something. Maybe the $120m makes up for it, who can say? I just never want to be in that position.
His financial situation is enviable, his artistic situation (at least vis-a-vis the Song of Ice and Fire books) not so much.

As mentioned in other threads earlier, the creature took a life of its own and got away from its creator. It happens.

Somebody should write a novel about that happening. Maybe a movie or three (dozen).
He has never claimed to have writer’s block. I think if he said that he’d get a lot more sympathy from his readers. Certainly he would from me. But no, he’s just too busy with other things, and pissed off at anybody who questions his priorities.
