It hasn’t been a week, but they’ve mandated Friday Night for parents to get their kids. Maybe they need more than day to repair and disinfect the camp for the next batch. This is the longest she’s been away from us, and she’s been incommunicado all that time. Will she be desperate? Will she be happy? Will she be a toned, fit Amazon after a week in the outdoors, or the shell-shocked victiom of Lord of the Flies-style hazing? I have no idea what to expect. Although I’ll bet she’ll want a shower. ---

Didn’t she have a thread about going to camp? I want a full report! BTW, don’t be offended if she cries and cries because she has to go home. Thinking back, it was a bit callous of me to be so upset when my parents came to pick me up. 🙂 ---

1.) I was right – she wanted a shower right off. 2,) She looked pretty much the same (imagine that – unchanged for the most part after only a week!) 3.) Except that her hair is a mess 4.) And she’s wearing nail polish. She claims she was ambushed and painted against her will. 5.) Of course, it rained as we were picking her up 6.) She sand camp songs all the way home 7.) and she got the names and addresses of her campmates. 8.) But she says she doesn’t want to go back. I’m not pressing her on this now. 9.) Before she took her shower, she kissed all the cats, including midnight, who doesn’t really like her. 10,) her mosquito net and sleeping bag are airing out now, and her clothes are still in the wash. And Pepper mill is trying to undo the mess in her hair. ---

I remember her thread about going to camp. I’d love to hear her story of how it went. Would she do it again? What does she think of everyone’s advice now she’s been there? GT
