And here I’ve been mocking this movie all along… the previews seem to just show off the generic dumb jokes that seem right out of **The Wild** and **Open Range** and so forth. Is there actually a plot and a story and characters? And who is it marketed at? Will today’s gets get raggae references? On the other hand, it’s just surreal enough an idea that it might somehow be amazingly entertaining… ---

It sounds like a fairly standard “outcast” style story about a character who is different from everyone else, is shunned and then goes off to find his inner strength etc. ---

Madagascar showed that Animated Penquins are very popular (the short incluced with that film was better than the film itself!). Thus, this should be at least OK. Do you get Credit, **Cunctator**? Anyway, congratulations. Looked like fun, now that I know there’s a SDMBer involved, I’ll move it up the list. 🆒 ---

When two penguins sing compatible “Heartsongs”, they know they are destined to be together. Mumbles, like **Cunctator** said, becomes an outcast because he is a terrible singer… … but he can _dance!_ - hence the title of the movie. I think **Lute Skywatcher** ’s comparison is right on. ---

We went to see the movie yesterday…it was absolutely fantastic! One of the best movies I’ve seen for a long time…good message, well done, the little spanish penguins were amazing…so funny and the music was spectacular. I may even go and see it again!
