Here’s an article from 2000 detailing a game between the Globetrotters and the Michigan State Spartans, who were ranked 3rd at the time.

Thanks! Very interesting. Although they lost to the Spartans that year, it said they beat NCAA Division II champion Metro State of Colorado 76-69, for what it’s worth.
