# Were The Slaves "Lucky"?

We’re talking about future eventualities, so sure Africa is riddled with civil war and poverty NOW, but maybe in another 100 or 200 years, events will have transpired that turned it into heaven on earth. In that case, the ones left behind would have been the lucky ones. Who can tell the future?
