I’m actually glad that EVERY event doesn’t have to remember 9/11 anymore. I got sick of that. I didn’t watch the Oscars, but did they have a Katrina “remembrance?” ---

The first draft lottery was in December of 1969. Anyone (born between the beginning of 1944 and the end of 1950) with the draft number of 195 or lower could be drafted unless deferred. Stein’s number was 132. He was born in 1944. When he graduated from law school in 1970, that was just a few months after the lottery started. He should have been been ripe for the picking.
