(Search isn’t responding and I imagine the word ‘thread’ would not be it’s favourite job to find so if someone has the link handy…). It was the one where the whole thread was a kind of template for a real thread. It was very witty and I’m sure most ‘established’ dopers remember it. Were there any spinoffs? Such as ‘poll’, ‘great debate’ ‘general question’? ---
