# Were you dating someone else when you met "the one"?

I was dating two guys when I met my husband. Not seriously, either of them. One guy was more of a friends-with-benefits sort of thing; the other guy I just went out with a few times, but we really didn’t click. So no breaking-up was necessary once I started seeing Kevin.

He was seeing a couple of other girls, too, when we met. In fact, he was a bit of a player – after we started dating 5 or 6 people took me aside and warned me about him… You know, “Don’t get serious about that guy – he’ll never settle down.”

Yesterday was our 21st anniversary.

I think so, me.

Had a five-year-long off-and-on thing going when I met a woman that really shook me up.

It’s early yet to confirm “The One” status, but I think the chances are good. I’ve never met anyone remotely like her, and she’s got me thinking more seriously than I ever have about anyone.

After I met her, it didn’t take long for me to break it off permanently with the woman I was seeing. (Truth be told it was a bizarre, dysfuntional relationship.)
