Maybe a wolfwere, but the “were” bit already means “man”, as also in “weregild”, man-gold that you owe someone for killing a relative of theirs.

I recall a **Harry Potter / Stargate SG-1** crossover story in which Remus Lupin is actually _cured_ of lycanthropy by having him set foot on the moon. Apparently, this is so intense, it “burns out” the wolf in him.

To my knowledge they become a sort of red werefox, depending on the specific eclipse.
