And in case anyone seriously wants to know (which is probably only 5% of the people reading this) I never heard voices when I was schizophrenic. I had negative symptoms (social withdrawl, lack of social skills, etc) and delusions of grandeur. I don’t know if that matters, but my symptoms were in a way different from the typical schizophrenic in that regard, as I never heard any voices while insane. After I realized the delusions were fake the negative symptoms started to life and I reentered real life, slowly regaining my social skills until I became the man you see before you today. Maybe the fact that I started several orthomolecular therapies for schizophrenia played a role. I did alot of glycine, I have taken antioxidants, niacin and I take 7-15 grams a day of omega-3 fatty acids. All have been shown to help with schizophrenia, so maybe one of them did something. But by and large once I realized my delusions were due to a mental illness that was pretty much the end of it for me. Its like someone who finds out with 100% proof that his religion is made up and expecting him to still attend church. Maybe I have some other disease that isn’t technically schizophrenia. One hundred years ago mental illness was not nearly as neatly defined as it is today and there was alot of overlap from one disease to another while some diseases in general weren’t even agknowledged. Maybe I had some particular strain of schizophrenia that isn’t really recognized yet (stress induced, instead of genetic) and as a result after the stress left so did the disorder. ---

One last (hopefully last) reply. I really don’t dislike you guys personally. I know I’ll probably get attacked as pretentious or wimpy for saying it but unless your own lives are going to shit I doubt you’d be here in the BBQ trying to roast total strangers over inane things like grammar or the definition of schizophrenia. Happy people with comfortable lives and peaceful relationships don’t spend their free time on boards devoted to attacking total strangers. So just adding on the hate and assaulting isn’t going to improve anyones life. Twickster - I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings. But it felt bad that you were jumping on the bandwagon like I had cooties and my threads needed to be avoided to the point where you wouldn’t even gloss over them. Most of my threads aren’t gross anymore. Except for that monlogue about sticking things up ones ass I just made. Nevermind. ---

**Boo Boo Foo** , I myself have grown from being confronted in an internet forum with honest criticism of the kind that you listed.
