# West Coasters: How are you doing in this heat wave?

“South Bay” is particularly unhelpful in California if it’s not clear that it’s local—we use it in San Diego County, too, and definitely do NOT mean San Pedro / Torrance or San Mateo / Santa Clara.

My Swamp Cooler was worn out garbage 7 years ago, but I keep patching it up (reasons). Well, it’s Fighting The Good Fight, but loosing ground over the last week.

I can’t sit on the couch anymore after 1pm. I’ll just sweat on it. Just standin’ around the house, trying to avoid moving too much…
