# West nile vaccine

Just adding a little on the West Nile Virus column ([http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mwestnile.html](http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mwestnile.html)) a few days ago:

Apparently a vaccine could be in the pipes, utilising a mostly harmless australian virus related to the WNV.
